I had been looking for mining software and a mining pool for the new gpu and cpu friendly algos of Auroracoin and spent a day or two trying to gather what I needed. I ran into all kinds of programs that didn't work for my old gaming pc or I didn't know how to configure the software.

Following my search for software, guide and mining pool I found this post that more or less helps the new miners like me to get started mining within 10 min. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1467050.msg14884031#msg14884031

I have found out that the algos qubit and myr-groestl are mostly for gpu's but you can mine skein with a cpu or gpu.

The download package is set up for http://strataspool.com/ which I have been testing and works for me. Other mining pools that offer all the Auroracoin algos are http://crypto.office-on-the.net:12351/static/ and I think http://aurpool.com:8080/ has fixed their problems with skein, qubit and myr-groestl.

All you have to do is download the software (https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B_P5uOkSANNoYmMycElXaG9ndFU) for your gpu Nvidia/AMD or cpu, edit the config files with notepad and insert your Auroracoin address and pool url for each algo and each config file.

If you want to mine the other two algos, scrypt and sha256 you more or less have to get specific hardware to mine them, not some old household pc.

If anyone in this community can add to this guide and where to gather the best software or pools please add to this thread.
